Job Description

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor in Shelton, Connecticut to prepare, identify, and route biological specimens for testing. The role involves data entry, specimen handling, and shipping to testing facilities while meeting production standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to respective staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment
• Enter patient information into systems accurately and timely
• Resolve and document problematic specimens

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking capability
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience preferred

Compensation: $18-$21/hr
