Job Description
AbbVie seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager for Parkinson's treatments in Dallas or Oklahoma City. The role involves field-based work calling on healthcare provider offices to address patient access and reimbursement questions for specialty medications, leveraging expertise in payer policies and coverage support.
Responsibilities
- Educate healthcare providers on patient support programs and access/reimbursement tools
- Advise providers on prescription status, program eligibility, and specialty pharmacy options
- Provide expertise on national and regional payer policies, coding changes, and claims submission
- Liaise with AbbVie's access team to update providers on coverage and program information
- Report payer trends to internal teams and maintain relationships with territory providers
Requirements
- At least 3 years managed health care, payer account management, or access and reimbursement experience
- Understanding of rules, regulations, and risks in providing reimbursement support services
- Technical knowledge of payer policies for specialty medicine coverage, coding, and payment
- Strong communication of coding and billing requirements across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement dynamics
- Territory and account management skills
- Bachelor's degree required
