Job Description
Field-based reimbursement manager for AbbVie's neuroscience portfolio in Pittsburgh, PA. Provides in-office support to healthcare providers on patient access, insurance coverage, and reimbursement for oral migraine treatments and related products.
Responsibilities
- Educate healthcare providers on patient support programs and reimbursement tools available from AbbVie
- Address payer policy trends, coding changes, and claims submission guidance at national and regional levels
- Liaise with AbbVie access and reimbursement support teams to provide prescription status and program eligibility updates
- Establish and maintain relationships with providers in assigned territory
- Report payer trends and coverage barriers to internal patient services and account management teams
Requirements
- 3+ years neuroscience experience with managed care, payer account management, or access/reimbursement background
- Technical expertise in payer policies, coding, billing, and specialty medicine coverage requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, D and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Understanding of specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distributors, and drug acquisition in neuroscience
- Strong territory and account management capabilities with excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license
- Eligible to obtain healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentials and pass associated background checks
