Location: Onsite (Nebraska-based) with flexibility for remote work
Employment Type:
Full-Time, Salaried
Salary Range:
$60,000 – $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

The Director of Rev Cycle & Compliance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing human resources operations, regulatory compliance, licensing, billing oversight, and internal controls across the organization. This position ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, supports operational excellence, and serves as a strategic partner to the COO and executive team.

The Director will manage compliance, Medicaid and non-Medicaid program oversight, licensing, audits, billing compliance, vendor management, and quality assurance while supporting organizational growth and new business integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Compliance

  • Oversee compliance activities including:

    • Unemployment claims

    • Workers’ compensation claims

    • ACA compliance and reporting

  • Support employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs

  • Partner with leadership on performance management, employee relations, and policy enforcement

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at the state and federal level

Regulatory & Licensing Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations

  • Manage and renew:

    • Home Health licenses

    • Medicaid provider licenses

    • NPI registrations

  • Coordinate and lead annual state surveys and audits

  • Monitor and implement compliance with new and changing state regulations

  • Serve as a key contact during regulatory reviews and inspections

Billing & Program Oversight

Oversee compliance and operational support for the following programs and services:

Medicaid & Waiver Programs

  • Nebraska Medicaid billing, payments, and authorizations

  • EVV compliance and appeals

  • Rate management and service coding

Non-Medicaid Programs

  • DHHS/DPFS billing

  • CPS billing

  • Private Pay billing

  • PERS program management and billing

  • VA billing (Aid & Attendance and local programs)

  • Long-Term Care Insurance billing and compliance

  Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Provide oversight of AP & AR processes

  • Review and approve expense reports through Bill.com

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts

  • Support ad hoc and recurring financial reporting

  • Collaborate with external partners such as Plante Moran for internal support and reporting

  • Deliver executive-level weekly and monthly reports

Systems, Quality & Process Management

  • Lead quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance and operational consistency

  • Support management teams with process improvement and compliance guidance

  • Assist with new business integrations, including compliance, systems, and operational onboarding

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, healthcare finance operations, revenue cycle management or a related leadership role

  • Strong working knowledge of Medicaid, waiver services, and healthcare compliance

  • Experience with licensing, audits, and regulatory oversight

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and discretion

Preferred

  • Experience in home health, waiver services, or long-term care environments

  • Familiarity with Nebraska Medicaid and state regulatory requirements

  • Experience with AxisCare, Bill.com, or similar healthcare/financial systems

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Primarily onsite role with flexibility for remote work as needed

  • Occasional travel for audits, surveys, or operational support

  • Collaborative leadership role requiring strong communication and cross-departmental coordination
