Muhajir Assistant Pastry Chef
Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with the production of baked goods, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products. Ensures that all food preparation follows recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
- Assist in preparing doughs, batters, creams, fillings, and other pastry components.
- Prepare and portion ingredients for baking and pastry production.
- Assist pastry chef with baking, decorating, and finishing products.
- Operate and clean baking equipment, utensils, and kitchen tools safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and report any issues.
- Store and label ingredients and prepared products properly.
- Assist with inventory monitoring and restocking baking supplies.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team to meet daily production needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of baking and pastry preparation is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Knowledge of chocolate work
- Knowledge of bread making
- Knowledge of how to work creams
- Ability to work with the team with great attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Previous bakery or kitchen experience is required.
