Job Title: Electronics Materials Manager
Location: Waukegan, IL – Hybrid (2 Days in Office, 3 Days Remote)
Pay Range: $80K–$100K (Based on experience & qualifications)

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Electronics Materials Managerwith our client located in Waukegan, IL. Our client is a well-established aerospace and electronics organization that develops advanced systems and components for the aviation industry. They are looking to add an experienced Materials Manager to their team on a permanent basis. This newly created position will lead a team of three and oversee procurement and materials management activities.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Buyers, Planners, and Procurement Specialists.
• Oversee daily procurement and materials planning activities.
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers while monitoring pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Plan material requirements and ensure availability to support production.
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies for critical components.
• Analyze BOMs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Issue RFQs and purchase orders and negotiate pricing and lead times.
• Maintain ERP/MRP parameters and monitor material status.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on supplier and material issues.
• Manage component lifecycle, substitutions, and obsolescence risks.

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of procurement experience.
• 5+ years of ERP/MRP experience.
• Previous people-management experience.
• Strong supplier management and sourcing background.
• Experience in a regulated industry preferred.
• Electronics/electrical component experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
